Hi, my name is Caitlin and I grew up in Ottawa, Ontario. The first time my mom brought me to visit Newfoundland I was 15 years old and I fell in love. Topsail Beach, whale and puffin watching was quite the sight for a city girl from Ottawa (mom did not forget to tell us to pack on the layers, which we were no sooner peeling off as they stuck to us). I have always enjoyed working with people. My school background is Culinary Management, Child and Youth Worker. I’ve completed my Montessori Training and am a certified Montessori Teacher for ages 3 – 6.  I have recently completed the Early Childhood Education program through CNA and I currently hold a valid Level 1 ECE certification through AECENL as well as a Level 2 School Age certification. I have had a passion for nurturing and helping to develop young children’s lives from a very youn g age. I began working with younger children when I applied and received a job offer at a daycare in Ottawa. I started casual and than started covering full time vacation hours in the summer. I worked there for about 9 years, along with other jobs that I had including  a school placement, an emergency shelter placement, working in kitchens, support worker and working full time at a daycare in Ottawa. I really enjoy working at Early Achievers and getting to see the children learn, explore and use their amazing imaginations.
